| Abstract | The microclimate of tropical forested areas converted into pastures may suffer significant changes; so, to evaluate them, it is necessary to model the micrometeorology of the forest canopy and the substituting pasture. Santos Alvalá in 1993 developed a model, based on the iterative solution of the energy balance equation, for the determination of the surface temperature, for days without rain, either for forest and deforested (pasture) areas, with the subsequent obtaining of the energy partition and its comparison with observational data. The results present some discrepancies, even though in general they agreed well with the observed hourly data. Thus, to help the improvement of the parametrizations used, a user friendly computer program was developed. It determines automatic and analytically the sensitivity of the components of the energy balance to the perturbation of its parameters. An application is made to forest and pasture sites in Central Amazonia. |
